Flatwood Memories was written by Francis Earle "F.E." Hendrix. He wrote this book for the Flatwood Community. He compiled history, stories, and pictures for this project with BMW who was using some of Flatwood land for some of their new facility.
He gave this copy to Leland Burch on November 14, 1998.

Paul Green was the Greer Police Department's first Identification Officer, appointed to the position in 1978 by Chief James Beason. His duties included photography, finger print collection, and evidence collection. Paul Green went on to become Chief of Police at Liberty, SC.
Manning Greer is most notable for having the town named for him. He sold right-of-way to the railroad for track and the station that would become Greer's Station.
