On or before the 1 day of Nov [October struck out] next, we or either of us promise to pay to WHITMIRE BROS., or order, Five hundred fifty six 50/100 Dollars, for 170 + 50 Sacks of Fertilizers, [with option to discharge the same with pound of middling cotton at fifteen cents per pound, packed in merchantable bales, delivered at Greenville struck out] C.H., S. C., to the said WHITMIRE BROS, or their agent, [at or beofre the maturity of this paper. struck out] If not paid at or before maturity the said sum to bear interest at ten per cent. per annum after maturity, and to be payable in currency only.
