L. W. Haughton, Lodore, Va. - I send for publication the best letter I recieved in answer to my "tion" game published in the Junior a few weeks ago.
Mr. L. W. Haughton: I was simply charmed with your novel game and have been thinking of nothing ever since but "tions" (especially as this is the fatal week of examinations). Think I have guessed your queries correctly. Suppose you meant education for the tion we are striving for at school, but so far as I'm concerned, I'm thinking mostly of my graduation; I certainly enjoy getting The Constitution, especially when it contains very interesting letters, and suppose Aunt Susie gives publication to such. Exclamations are certianly indulged in when one is glad or sorry. I must admit that I'm a little rusty on history, but I should say explorations and expeditions or inventions were given great prominence "when I was a child," and salvation, redemption and justification are important terms in the Bible.
Now, without hesitation,
Draw on your imagination,
And give your attention
To the questions I mention.
What "tion" ruins a ["******"] [censored racial slur]
What "tion" causes serious heart trouble?
What "tion" does everybody like to receive?
What "tion" did the old maid feel, who sneezed and caused her false teeth to drop out?
What "tion" is the proper place for Roosevelt's sable guests?
What "tion," an attribute of a girl, causes cupid's darts to be most effective?
Against what "tion" do all property owners rebel?
What "tion" enables us to enjoy things that never happen?
What "tion" caused Caesar's downfall?
What "tion" makes the heart grow fonder?
What "tion" of universal interest will take place March 4, 1904?
For what "tion" are college students ever longing?
Now let me know how many of these you can answer.
Very truly.
