Mrs. Mary W. Black
GREER, Oct. 22.—Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Woodward Black, 24, wife of Staff Sgt. Robbie A. Black, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church in Greer, by Rev. J. A. Barrett, assisted by Rev. B. H. Tucker and Rev. F. T. McGill. Burial will be in the family plot in Mountain View cemetery.
The following were asked to meet at the Woodward home at Duncan at 4:15 o'clock to serve as active pallbearers: Angus Burrell, Mott [missing], Sgt. James T. Corne, [missing,] Edd Champion, and L. [missing.]

Harold D. Wood
GREER, Sept. 24.—Harold (Jack) Wood, 42 resident of [missing] died this morning at 2:30 at [missing] home of his mother, Mrs. Be[missing] Wood, on Pelham street, in Gr[missing] after an illness of the last two and one-half years.
Mr. Wood was the son of the late I. M. Woodand besides his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wilson Shurgour; three sonsBuddy, Bennie and Wayne Wood; six sisters, Mrs. J. T. James, Mrs. James Massey, Mrs. Charlie Smith, Mrs. Graham McClimon, Mrs. James Reese, and Mrs. Broughton Colvin. One granddaughter, Dianne Shurgour, survives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. George Smith, assisted by Rev. Newton Watson and Rev. Flournoy Shepperson. Burial will be on the family plot in the church cemetery.
The active pallbearers will be Troy and Will Dillard, Paul, James and William Wood and Paul Chiles.
Deacons of Pleasant Grove Baptist church and Paul Henderson, Maynard Miller, Frank Henderson and Grady Painter are requested to meet at the church at 3:45 o'clock and serve as the honorary pallbearers.
