Dear Mama, Daddy + all,
Hope you all are just fine, I'm getting along all right, still laying around taking life easy. About all I do is eat, sleep, read and write letters. I have an idea I may leave here to-morrow if I do it may be several days before I get to write again, I'll have to go back though several Replacement Reports, before I get to my outfit.
They had a show for us to-day, it was pretty good, they had a good band and the jokes were all right. They sure are good to the men over here, you can get most everything you need, they give us a pack of cigarettes and a bar of candy each day and we have good meals too. How do you think you'll like the new President? I think Roosevelt was the better man for the job, wish he had lived till the war was over anyway.
How is the family coming along? Don't you all work to hard, take it easy, sure would like to be plowing "Old Maude" instead on what I'm doing. It's all right to be over here but I don't want to go to the pacific, wish I could get to stay here in the army of occupation but I won't be that lucky. Will you try to get Floyd [ineligible] address and send me, try to find out what army he's in, maybe I could look him up sometime. Would like to see someone from the old home town.
Tell Dick to keep his eyes open and let me know if my girl steps out on me, no kidding I would like to know.
How is Dick getting along with his orchard work, sure hope he makes a good crop this year and can get a good price for them. To-day is Saturday, the days sure do fly over here.
Well, it's almost time for supper so I'll say so long for now. Write all you can. Sure hope I can get my mail before so very much longer. Tell all hello.
Lots of love to all,
Bob
