Dear Mama, Daddy + all,
Hello, and how are you all, I'm not so good, I think I have the flu. I came to the hospital last night, it's not serious but I was too sick to do my work so they sent me back here. I hope I don't have to stay here long I want to get back to my outfit. I have walked quite alot the past few days, it wost of tired me out the first day or so but I was getting used to it. One thing about being in a regular outfit you can get something to drink every once in a while. How are you all, have you been sick this spring, hope you haven't. I've had a good time over here so far with the exception of the flu. The work is hard at times but there's fun in doing it. Will be glad when I can get my mail, only had mail one time since leaving the states.
How are you getting along with the farm work? guess you are about ready to plant now. I've seen some pretty farms overhere.
I guess Buford will take a boat ride soon, wish he would be placed in the same outfit with me. We could have alot of fun to-gether. I went to my outfit the other day right after I wrote you. Haven't seen my friends since then, wish we could have stayed to-gether. Tell Fred + [ineligible] I'll try to write them in a day or two.
Don't you all worry about me, I'll be all right and there'll be times when I can't write as much as possible. Spring is beginning to come over here and I'm glad to see it, hope it will hurry and get warm, I don't care too much about cold weather.
Well, I'll close for now, write all you can. Tell all hello.
Lots of love to all,
Bob.
