Dear Mother + Dad -
Hello, I hope all are well and the old world is treating you well. It won't be long until spring comes there and I'll be glad to. I suppose Bob is home now or will be in a few days. I bet he'll enjoy himself, I know I really enjoyed each moment I was with Georgia and it was time for me to go back before I know it. Bruce wasn't with us there, now I have two darlings to go home to and I can't wait to get there either. The days are getting lots longer here, it is dark at about 7 P.M. now, they will be much longer later. I think Easter comes on April 1st this year. Maybe after that the winter will be over, I hope so. It hasn't been any too warm this year.
3/8/45 Back again, I didn't get to finish the other night and it was late when I got through last night. I'm glad to know that Aunt May is doing very well, I haven't heard from her in quite a while. I am getting along fine nothin bothers me, except I'm homesick for my wife and son. I stay that way though. I hope you make a good crop of peaches this year too. It would [ineligible] pretty bad to loose them three years straight. Easter being as early as it is this year maybe they'll get through. you never can tell this part of it may be over before [ineligible] days. I hope so, yet no one really knows. If Bob comes this way I hope I get to see him if he stays over here before going on to the [Continent], you can never tell which way he'll go through. I imagine they are taking most of the boys now from the [ineligible] and other places if they went in [ineligible] production. There isn't any need to worry about Bob, I think he'll be able to take care of himself and will get through it all right. Georgia told me she thought Fred was in [ineligible] her youngest brother has been through all the pacific in the navy. He's seen quite a bit of action. Her other brother was in the [ineligible] for five years. He's back in home in the states now, funny any place is home in the states after war leaves them. You can never appreciate them unless you are [ineligible] for awhile. I received a letter from Hazel today she is getting along o.k. and says that Jackie is doing fine in school. I hope she continues to. It's time for you to start getting ready to plant crops, since you can't get help what do you plan to do with the [ineligible] this year. I hope though you'll be able to get help to work it. Well, I'll say good nite for now. I hope this [ineligible] all well. Tell all hello.
Love to all
BIll
