Dear Etta
I arrived home safe but right tired, found all doing the best they could, your Pa is still very poorly rested tolerably well last night, is now in bed still hope he will be better soon your Grand Ma is in her usual health & says there was only three pair of socks, so keep a secrete what was said, Etta do send them Patterns for Mrs Carmons by tomorrows Mail. I know she wants them am so sorry I forgot them, Miss Nancy has done very well I gave her one of the collars you gave me she was mighty proud & says she will spin you some stocking thread, Bettie done fine she says she was a good girl, you be shure and send them patterns, All join me in love to you.
