LIFE BEGINS AT 6 FOR FUTURE GREERITES
Above you see sixty-four of the future ladies and gentlemen of Greer starting their first year in school. It's the first grade of the Greer grammar school for the 1942-'43 session. From left to right on the first row they are: Frankie Greene, Buck Witmore, Norden Davis, Jimmie Woodward, Tommy Smith, Johnny Sudduth, Garey Paris, J.W. Farmer, Billy Greer, Curtiss Tucker, Marcus Vaughn, and Dick Pugh.
Second row: Shirline Pruitt, Barbara Ann Wilson, Marcia Taylor, Jean Waddell, Maxie Greer, Shirley Garrett, Miriam Hughes, Timna Smith.
Third row: Billy Sandlin, Lewis Pittman, Una Rae Bryant, Barbara Jean Dillard, Jane Vaughn, Roberta Hyatt, Tappy Bailey, Joan Lee Berry, Billy Gravely, Marenm Maee and Lou Ellen Horn.

Also are their teachers: Miss Annie Johnson on the left and Mrs. Christine Hutchings on the right. The management of the Grand theatre will send this photograph to New York and have it blown-up to 30 x 40 inches and present it to these fair lads and lassies to hang in their room at school. 8 x 10 inch copies of the photograph can be secured from Monarch Studios for $1.00 each by the proud (damaged line)
