Greer Music Club Reelected All Officers Last Week
Reelection of off the officers who so faithfully have served the past year featured the business session of the Greer Music Club meeting last Wednesday when the following were again elected to serve for another year:
President, Mrs. Paul Bull; First Vice. Pres., Mrs. J. S. Paget; Second Vice Pres., Mrs. James Hughes; Recording Sec’y, Mrs. Melvin Bruce; Corresponding Secretary, Mrs. J. S. McClimson; Treasurer, Mrs. W. J. Gibson; Parliamentarian, Mrs. Frances Wideman.
Delegates to the State Convention in April were also named as follows: Mrs. Paul Bull and Mrs. J. S. Paget, with Mrs. T. O. Walker and Mrs. Melvin Bruce, alternates.
Hostesses were Mrs. H. L. Cunningham, Mrs. James Hughes, and Mrs. George E. Smith, while visitors for the evening were Joe Kinard and Mrs. Albert Stokes.
Mrs. W. M. Albergotti, leader, presented the following program having as its theme: Modern American Music.
Paper: Music’s Important Part in the Fight for Freedom by Mrs. J. G. Buford.
Piano Solo: Variations of Three Blind Mice, Thompson; by Mrs. R. B. Dean.
Vocal Solo: Far Away, Frank La Forge; Mrs. Harry Daniel accompanied by Mrs. Melvin Bruce.
Piano Duet: Port and Peasant, Supte; Mesdames R. B. Taylor and R. C. Taylor.
Vocal Solo: Serenade, Nevin; Mrs. W. J. Gibson accompanied by Miss Carrie Burgess.
Piano Solo: Fiesta at Monterey, Whithorne; Mrs. Alfred Burgess.
