DUNCAN--Ernestine Wilson Hendrix, 93, widow of J.O. Hendrix and resident of Route 1, died Nov. 3, 1986.
A native of Spartanburg County, Mrs. Hendrix was a daughter of the late W.Z.M. and Anne Wood Wilson. Mrs. Hendrix was a homemaker and a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred McAlister of Fayetteville, N.C. and Mrs. Irene Hadden of Spartanburg; five sons, W.A. "Bill" and Francis Earl Hendrix, both of Duncan, Cliff Hendrix of Greer, Everette Hendrix of Morganton, and Ralph Hendrix of Columbia; a sister, Bertha Smith of Greer; 11 grand-children; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted today at 3 p.m. at Abner Creek Bap-tist Church by the Rev. Donel Kelley. Interment, directed by the Wood Mortuary, was in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Lowell Hendrix, Dr. Ralph Hendrix, Jr., Steve McAlister, Larry Lister, Larry Harrison, Robert Ballenger, and Steve Fisher. Honorary Escort was members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class at Abner Creek Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Abner Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Building Fund, Rt. 1, Greer.

Susan W. Jackson received a per-mit to remodel a home at 213 Con-necticut Avenue. P.K. Howard is contractor for the $6,670 project.
The city issued a permit to Dellis G. Coleman for an $8,215 remodel-ing project at 2 Stewart Ave. The work will be done by Greer Builders Supply.
Inspector Rhoads approved a per-mit for Melvin Duck to add three rooms to a home at 105 McDaniel Avenue. The project is expected to cost $5,700.
