ERNESTINE W. HENDRIX
Duncan. Mrs. Ernestine Wilson Hendrix, 93, of Route 1, and widow of J.O. Hendrix, died Monday, November 3, 1986 at Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital after a brief ill-ness.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late W.Z.M. and Anne Wood Wilson, she was a homemaker and a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred McAlister of Fayette-ville, N.C. and Mrs. Irene Hadden of Spartanburg; five sons, W.A. (Bill) Hendric and Francis Earl Hendrix, both of Duncan, Cliff Hendrix of Greer, Everette Hen-drix of Morganton, N.C. and Ralph Hendrix of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Smith of Greer; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be con-ducted at 3 PM Wednesday at Abner Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Donel Kelley. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Low-ell Hendrix, Dr. Ralph Hendrix, Jr., Steve McAlister, Larry Lister, Larry Harrison, Robert Ballenger, and Steve Fisher.
Honorary Escort will be mem-bers of the Fidelis Sunday School Class of Abner Creek Baptist Church.
The body s at the Wood Mortu-ary, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Tuesday, and will be placed in the church Wednesday at 2 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Cemetery Fund or to the Building Fund of Abner Creek Baptist Church, Route 1, Greer.
